About our Jewellery

Whether your passion is for the freshness of natural pearls, the vibrancy of gemstones, the classic appeal of amber, or the stylish two-tone fusion of silver and gold, we know you’ll love the collection.

We offer quality and stylish jewellery you’ll enjoy wearing, collecting or buying as a gift.

Most of our pieces are handmade from natural stones/materials making each piece individually unique.

Silver
All our silver, unless otherwise stated, contains a minimum of 92.5% pure silver and is classed as sterling silver. Our silver collection is made using many diverse techniques resulting in unusual, attractive, desirable styles. The processes referred to within an item description may include:

  • Hammered, a technique where the metal is indented to add extra character and texture
  • Oxidisation, a process to give parts of the silver a darker appearance enhancing the design
  • Matt, the polishing process used results in a design that is not highly polished or reflective
  • Rhodium Plated. Rhodium is another precious metal from the Platinum family, it provides years of non-tarnishing benefits to sterling silver and gives the fine appearance of white gold.

Gemstones
Gemstones in our collection may be described as:

  • Facetted, where the surface of the stone has been cut and polished
  • Cabochons & Tumble gemstones have been polished and have a smooth surface often rounded with a domed appearance

Gold
Some of our designs combine silver and gold giving our contemporary styles an extra touch of elegance. Some terms within item descriptions include:

  • Gold fill, a process where a foil of gold has been bonded by heat and pressure to a core of silver or brass. The gold becomes a durable layer and will last for many years.
  • Gold Plated. A coating of gold is electronically or mechanically plated onto a silver base.
  • Karat, (k) is a measure of the fineness of gold. 24 karat gold is pure gold and very soft. Gold is usually mixed with other metals, often silver and copper making to make it harder and the design more durable.

Pearls
All pearls in our collection are from fresh water sources. We offer a variety of pearl designs, some include a glamorous mix of Czech glass, crystals and gemstones, whilst others will be set with silver offering a contemporary alternative to a modern classic look.

Natural pearl colours include, white, pale pink, light and dark grey. Other colours are created by pearl farmers injecting a small amount of dye during cultivation resulting in an array of colours.

Sea or Shell Pearls are created using ground oyster shell which come in a wonderful array of colours and sizes. They resemble the most expensive and elusive perfectly formed cultured pearls, but at a fraction of the price.

Jewellery Care

Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the fist thing you take off! Following this golden rule, together with regular cleaning will help you keep your jewellery in tiptop condition.

Chemicals, detergents and beauty products will dull the appearance of your jewellery and over time could cause damage. Each piece of jewellery is individual, but as a general guide the National Association of Goldsmiths advises:

  • Gently rub gold and silver jewellery with a soft, clean cloth or appropriate jewellery polishing cloth to maximise the shine, never use abrasive cleaners.
  • Jewellery set with diamond, garnets, sapphires, rubies & amethysts can be brought to life by careful cleaning with a soft brush and mild soapy water.
  • Amber, Pearls, Jade, Jet, Lapis, Emeralds, Opals, Coral & Turquoise are porous and soak up liquid. These are best cleaned with a soft damp cloth after wearing, to remove natural body oils, perfume, hairspray and anything else likely to damage them.
  • To protect your jewellery from scratching keep pieces stored in individual pouches made from soft material.
  • Avoid getting your chains tangled by keeping them fastened.
